Diego Alvarez-Demalde is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Sophia Capital.

 

At Sophia, he has co-led significant investments, including the Socotherm Group, a global leader in O&G pipe coating with operations in 11 countries; Lupatech, a leading provider of O&G valves and related services in Argentina; and Litoral Gas, a gas distribution company serving over 4 million users.

Prior to founding Sophia Capital, Diego held roles as an investment banker at UBS in New York and Credit Suisse in Buenos Aires, where he led the Argentine team. He also worked at Booz Allen Hamilton and Citibank in Buenos Aires. Diego holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad de Buenos Aires.
